I just got into an accident. What should I do?
First, notify authorities. Get medical attention for anyone that needs it. Police investigations and findings will determine who is at fault. Call your insurance agent to begin processing your claim. Next, research auto repair shops in your area. Find one you are comfortable with. Selecting a shop that works with you on processing your insurance claim will ease the stress of your situation. Our goal at Blue Ribbon is to make this as stressfree as possible. to top »

Don't I have to get three estimates for my insurance company?
No. There is no law that requires you to get more than one estimate. to top »

My insurance company suggested that I go to a repair facility on their "Preferred list"- Should I?
My insurance company gave me a "preferred list" of auto body repair shops. Am I obligated to choose one of these? No, the vehicle is yours. It is your right to have it repaired where ever you choose. A national news report states that it may not always be to your best interest to use these shops. Ultimately you need to choose and trust the shop. Tell them where you want it repaired, it's your choice. Some insurance companies will tell you that they won't warranty the repairs if you go to a "different" shop. The insurance company does not warranty repairs, the shop does. to top »

Who will pay for work that was not on the original estimate?
When the auto repair facility gets the vehicle in the shop they will sometimes find unforeseen damage. Procedures/parts that are needed to do the repairs and are not listed on the original estimate are called supplemental procedures. These procedures have to be ok'd by the insurance company before being done to the vehicle. Therefore they are approved during the repair process to be paid by the insurance company to the auto body repair facility. to top »

How long will the repairs take?
On average, repairs take three to four days from the day we get your vehicle, depending on the extent of damage and waiting for parts. to top »

What kind of training do your technicians have?
Blue Ribbon Auto Body is an I-CAR Gold Class Shop. I-CAR sets procedures and guidelines for getting your vehicle back to safe and pre-accident condition. Our technicians attend all classes possible to stay on top of industry standards. to top »

What process does your shop use to match original colors?
Every vehicle's color is coded. But since each code has slightly different variances, we use Chromovision, a computer program from Dupont. Chromovision gives a formula for matching the color of your vehicle this gives us a better chance of getting an exact match. All colors are guaranteed at Blue Ribbon. to top »

What kind of guarantee can you give me?
Blue Ribbon Auto Body offers you a written warranty on your repairs. This covers life-time on the workmanship and on the refinish. Blue Ribbon is also a Dupont certified shop so Dupont also warranties the refinish. to top »
